Oh yeah. The hair that normally falls out stays in the dreads so when you brush them out you get lots of loss hair. lol

Oh yeah I know! Just the thought if a trash bag full of hair is nasty. I had another friend who combed hers out and she hated how super thin her hair felt afterwards. I was like dude, you've had a rug on your head, give it some time.

Yeah it takes a bit for the hair to go back to normal.

Try posting on CL. Ask questions. Ask if anyone in the area can help you do them. You could meet someone at a park and maybe have them section them for you.

I'd have to comb them out to resection them.

I'm thinking about asking a friend of SO's to help. (Actually his wife.) She does hair and was asking me about mine. But it takes a LOT for me to trust someone with my hair. lol

well, and if you don't LIKE the sectioning, you can just take them out when they're done doing it, right? and redo it? I mean after you comb out .

don't forget also you'll have volume loss. Your dreads don't let your naturally shedding hair leave your head so all of that will have to go.

You don't want my opinion.... because you know how much I loved your long, straight hair. Not a fan of the dreads. It distracts me from your pretty face.

Honestly, if you want dreads that badly, I would say re-do them.

If I comb them out I'm going to keep the regular hair for a while.

It's such a hard decision.

I'd say to comb it out. If you don't like the way they are now, I feel like the longer you let them go the harder it will be to fix them. Maybe not.... because I don't know how it all works.

My aunt is a hair-dresser and she had dreads for a long time. I could ask her about it if you want. I have a hard time getting ahold of her sometimes, though.. but she's supposed to come visit Colin sometime this week.

You can ask her if you want, but it's not a big thing if you don't.

And I'm going to think on it for a bit longer then decide.

What is it exactly that you need to know about fixing them?
I'll ask her if she comes up in the next couple days. She one of those types that flies off the radar and then just appears out of nowhere.

Mainly something good for the itch. And the best way to figure how where the loose hair goes. And if there is anyway possible to fix the crazy sections w/o having to brush them out.

My cousin is online, I'll drop her a message and see if she knows where the ol' lady is hiding.
