Glucose test question

Is the glucose test mandatory for every woman at some point in time during the pregnancy or is it or only after a urine test shows too much sugar? (or is it protein, haha i can't remember)

No, it's mandatory for everyone. Your doctor will tell you about it around 28 weeks

every woman gets tested at the end of her 2nd beggining of her 3rd. I got tested at 28 weeks and it was very high and I was on insuline till 35 weeks that is when I had my son. Till today my suger is still high....

its sugar in your urine and everyone takes one but if you do have sugarin your urine more than acouple times they'll do it earlier or make them do it earlier thats what i did and i ended up with gestational diabetes and was on my diet early so my baby isnt as big as some get... they estimate around 8 lbs

It depends who your doctor is, your risk factors, etc.

It is a mandatory thing through my DR. I wouldn't think from all these times they have taken a urine sample that if I had sugar in my urnine they would have told me. I'm doing my next month on the 20th yahhhh exciting drink some nasty orange drink. But I think it's a good thing that they are doing it.

I took the test yesterday (crossing my fingers that I passed!!) The drink is not bad at all. I think it was worse like 5 or 6 years ago. Like syrupy and thick but now it seriously tastes like orange pop maybe slightly sweeter but it was good!
