Incredibly tender and sore to bf'd. I think you may have a funky smelling nipple too (from memory?) Baby may have oral thrush also.

yea...went to my 4 week pp appointment today and she released me to have sex and all that but said that she thinks i may have a yeast infection on my boob and prescribed me a cream. but like i had no clue...im not really sore but my areole looks pale near the nipple..,

My nipple got a shooting pain through it when LO was nursing and the long part the milk comes out of, not the areola, was bright pink..

Do you have cracked nipples? I didn't have thrush really badly but I did get a mild case and it started in my nipple that was cracked first. My daughter had mild oral thrush (white spots on the tongue and Inside the mouth) be careful if you're bfing that your bubby doesn't get it. There's not really much you can do to prevent baby from getting it but if you notice white spots inside the mouth get onto it quickly, it can be very itchy and irritating for babies. My girl had some on her lips and she would rub her lips together like it was itchy.
