TTC Baby #1

Hi,
I'm Jessi (26) and my husband is Klint (27). I am a teacher and my husband is an accountant. We have been TTC since November 2007. We got pregnant in February and I had a chemical pregnancy. We miscarried after the best week of our lives. We were on top of the world thinking we were pregnant. Now, we are getting back into the groove. We aren't really trying, but we aren't preventing either. I want a baby so bad! I guess we all do!!! I just wanted to see if there were any other teachers out there TTC.

I just wanted to say Good Luck in trying! *Baby dust* to you and your husband.... I knew someone who was TTC and her OB told her and her husband to drink a glass of red wine each and then do the deed and she became pregnant, then 6 months later same thing, she became pregnant, and about 1 year after that..again.....So if you are a recovering alcoholic don't take that advice..But i just thought it was cool that it worked for her so many times...
They were TTC for 3 years before they got that suggestion.

I am a teacher (currently a SAHM though), but I am not currently ttc.I actually just gave birth to #2 two weeks ago. It took us a year to get pregnant with him, so we will be ttc for #3 at the end of this year. So, welcome to BG and lots of sticky dust to you!!! Good luck ttc!

I'm a teacher and currently pregnant with #1....It took us almost a year to conceive her..our advice from a dr was to have sex once a month...we did that for five months and then found out we were expecting...I wish you the best of luck! and welcome to gaga

Well, I hope you have a gorgeous healthy baby! DH and I are just going to go with the flow and see what happens. We aren't really going to "try try" untillater this summer if it doesn't happen before then. I am starting at a new school next year so I am nervous about being PG and giving it my best at my new job. Do you have any advice? I would love any you can give!!!

Thank you very much! When we started TTC we took it slow and wanted to see if it would just happen...that's when we went with the once a month...I conceived in September putting her due the week after school gets out and it was my first year teaching...It wasn't nearly as stressful as I thought...if it wasn't my first year at this school I would have taken the last 2 weeks off just to rest but being that it's my first year I decided to wait it out..my co workers have been amazing..the kids have been amazing as well..they know I'm limited on things to do so they are always helpful..I wish you the best of luck in TTC and if you need anything let me know!

I talked to a girl I will be working with next year and asked her opinion about getting PG my first year teaching at this school. She said she didn't think the principal would have a problem. I explained we had already had a miscarriage and we weren't sure how long it would take to get PG again so we wanted to keep trying and she said to go for it. It made me feel a lot better about continuing to try. I am a control freak about some things and I guess I am just going to have to ask for help as much as I can next year if it happens this summer. I also decided that if it happens this month, I will just use my Christmas break getting the nursery and such set up. Thanks for replying.

I am having some major symptoms this time around! I am hoping this is it, but I am trying not to read too much into it! Let's just all keep our fingers crossed!!!
