Pissed

I am so pissed right now I just find out today that Malia has had Pneumonia for three days. 

What? They didn't tell you when she first got it?

I'm praying for her, and for your sanity.

THAT SUCKS! You do have to ask everyday if anything is new when ya go in or they just forget to tell ya...........well mine does, tell the nurses you want to know everyday if anything has changed, sorry moma I know nicu is hard, today makes 5 weeks my little man has been in there, he was a 30 weeker, and hopefully we are going home sometime this week. But my milk just ran out after trying EVERYTHING i could try, so he gets his first feeding of formula tonite   But hopefully everythign will turn out okay with that   Good Luck with your baby girl......she sounds like a little fighter!

No an I stay like 45mins away from the hospital an I have been up there everyday since I had her an I don't understand why nobody did not tell me.An I would have not find out if I would have not stop pumping breastmilk.I had to talk to the Dr about what type of milk was they was going to give her an out of no where she was like yeah Maliais doing good an the x-ray we did on her chest look better it looks like the Pneumonia is clear up good with the two meds we got her on me & my mama was looking so stupid an when I am not there I am calling an her dads calls to because he is in college in Chicago so he calls like crazy an so does his Mother an nobody knew I was so upset that I start crying an I am still pissed off.

I am from Oxford but Malia is in Duke Unviresty Medical Center in Durham Nc.My thing is they tell all the other stuff they are doing to her but thats ws something big.I am just so pissed off I just don't see why nobody told me that ugh!!!

When Kimi was in the NICU, [for 2 days] They still called me to tell me if anything new had happened. They told me how much formula she was taking, how many BMs. Everything. They should tell you if she's sick. You shouldn't have to ask. Especially since she's such an early preemie.

I know thats why I am so pissed

yea my baby shayla was in the NICU for 5 days and they told me all that stuff too they even told me when they took her iv out of her arm

That is messed up! Well when i go up to see Gabby my nurse tells me everything that is new with her and if she doesn't tell me then the doctors call me every day. well that was when she was in the level 3 NICU now she is in the level 2 NICU and i can't wait to bring her home. She has been there for almost 5 weeks. But she should be coming home soon. Just keep calling and doing everything you are doing and ask them is there anything new and well sometimes ask to talk to the doctor. But i hope your baby is doing better. How is the whole milk going for you? did the chocolate help? i hope it did.

I totally agree with what your saying. Ive had a few things where they havent told me about it, i mean i sleep with the phone under my pillow just incase anyting happens ... ive been doing that for like 6 months now   When things arent stable i call in everytime i express, i think they get sick of me hogging the phone line lol. Whencertain staff are on I also like to go in at 6amso i can be there for changeover, that way i get to speak to the night staff to see how he did during the night, and i get to speak with the day staff before the consultants do the rounds at 10am. I was travelling like75 miles/130km per day on public transport, its hard, but we jus gotta get on with it. I hope ur lil girl gets better soon x

Thanks the Dr has wrote in Malia chart to tell me everything which I don't understand why they was not doing that in the first place ugh I just can't wait til she comes home

Drew was in NICU for 2 weeks. When i called or visited him they would give me an update and tell me what was going on and why. I would be pissed too if they had not told me.

kimi was in the nicu why what happend???
