ok. I do not know where else to run and ask...

I moved into a new apartment in February. It says in the lease they do not deal with bed bugs or fleas. We have no pets.. but we have a huge flea problem. We have used foggers a few times. vacuum everything, all the time. Lemon juice and water sprayed everywhere. Borax on everything. Salt.. NOTHING WORKS. Me, my daughter and boyfriend have over 30 bites on us at a time. It has gotten to the point where we want to break the lease and get out of here. I don't want to keep using foggers.. I have an 8 month old daughter!! But it seems no option is safe. v_v. Can't afford professional exterminating company either.

So in your lease it says that if you have a flea problem they will not do anything about it? That would be a red flag for me! Clearly it's an issue they've had before!

it sounds like someone in the building has a animal with fleas and inless they take care of most likely u will keep getting them

Shyeah. I did not think about it. Didn't think we could get fleas without animals! I've never had an issue like this before!! Now i have no idea what to do.

Diatomaceous Earth!!!! ive used this i was skeptical at first but man i tell u it works wonders!!! 1 application is all it took and i had fleas galore with no pets in my house. i bought mine at our local flea market $12 for a huge bag. you can also order it online at eartheasy.com

My grandparents used this. It worked really well for them!

The only thing that worked for us was to borax EVERYTHING. The floors, the furniture, the blankets/beds, all of it. Then we closed up all the windows and left the apartment for like 2 days. Came back and vaccuumed like mad men. Washed all blankets, sheets, clothes, coats, stuffed toys, all of it.

Then we had to steam clean the carpets and the couches.
