her baby has my babys name!!

I was looking at our local hospitals website and the had pictures of local newborns. I guess last month a baby was born with the same name I had picked out! The name was Willow Elizabeth btw. I know its not extremely uncommon but we live in a small town. They will know each other, they will probably be in the same grade. And I don't want her to be Willow J.   I'm so upset. I feel like I need to.find a new name and it took me 6 months to come up with that one..

Oh, the horror.

Seriously this is not a big deal and not worth changing her name. My name is Amanda I grew up with MANY other girls with the same name not a big deal.

So? You can still name your kid what you want.

It's the same first and middle name and her dad has the same name as my so. I never met someone with the same name as me and it was awesome but my.brothers were always Ryan L. And Dylan L. It woyld be different if they wouldnt.be in school together

I guess I can see where you're bummed but I see that as no reason to change your baby's name.

i wouldnt change your babys name because of that..who's to say the family wont move before then?

I've never heard of anyone including their middle name in school so who cares. I don't think I know hardly any of my friends middle names even the ones that have the same first name as me. IMO you are making this out to be a much bigger deal than it needs to be.

Two of my best friends names are Derek. They are so close they may as well be brothers. We all just call them Hawkins and Browning (last names).
I understand that you wanted a special name but Willow is becoming a very common name and well. Just about any name you pick there is bound to be another child with it.
Maybe your Willow and that Willow with become best friends and it will all work out. Or.... 6 months from now that family moves out lol.

I just don't understand the big problem here, you have to accept there are other kids in the world with the name Willow, it's a popular name what do you expect? I mean I guess if it's that big of an issue you could home school then you'll know for sure there won't be another Willow in your class.
