I had the surgtical one. I went through pretty much the same thing the others are saying, only thing I have to add, is that I went back to work immediatly, like next day, and I was given a note that I was not to lift anything over 15 to 20 lbs for a week. I was 8 weeks along when I got mine. I remember cryng, it wasnt from pain or sickness, I think it was a mixture of relief and then guilt that I felt relief. It is a hard thing to go through, but tis your choice and yours only and you are the only one who truely knows why you are doing it. Best wishes to your friend.
