I know I personally am shocked and at a loss for words. A women the other day tried to feed my 3 1/2 month old chocolate off of her finger and all I could do was shake me head and scoop Bella up. I would never try to touch a child or FEED them anything with out first asking the parents and it just blows my mind when people do. I plan to let the sign day it for me lol since I can't seem to do it myself.

i think preemie OR not...germs are germs..and will affect ANY infant.....

www.handsoffbaby.com their signs say "wash hands before touching baby" they also have bibs and onesies. I'm not sure why people think it is okay to go up and touch someone's baby without permission, but it happens quite frequently. In order to help with the awkwardness of it all this sign helps to alleviate the confrontation and protects the baby from unwanted germs.

Unless they have the flu virus or h1n1 virus on their hands. I am a nurse, and know people do all sorts of things including going to the bathroom without washing their hands. I have had people walk up and try to touch my babies faces without asking...they were preemies too so of course it made me more concerned. I guess it is each parents preference. I prefer people to keep their hands to themselves...
