Actually, they're more likely to get ill if you DON'T let people touch them and sanitize their environment. Then when they're finally exposed they won't be immune so they'll get ill.

Your right, raise them the way you want. It just may be more harmful to shelter them so much.

Feel free to raise your children as you damn well please. I didn't say not to. However, I can almostguarantee my kids will benefit far more from my letting people admire and touch them than your children will from you sheltering. Just an observation. You don't have to like it or even agree with me. I really don't care if you do.

I realize germs help them I really do. I realize they will eat dirt, paste and things off the floor, but in public I dont want people touching them. That has really been my point all along.

uncalled for comment. Also, atleast he'll choose that.. rather than some random person. Not to mention if you noticed there is a measles outbreak in toronto- my city so while i know there is no risk of that in my house where he plays and crawls that person could have it.. since the dr herself told me to be careful

If there is reason to keep them protected, then by all means go for it. But if there isn't, then just let it be. But if you want to be a rude ass and put a do not touch sign on your kid, which, in my opinion is COMPLETELY over the top, then go for it. At least my kids are actually approachable.

Then why did you just "smile" about it? If there was an outbreak and someone was trying to touch my kid, I would stop them. You said that you just smiled about it.
