Hand Foot And Mouth Disease and Pregnant...

Has anyone ever had this while pregnant? My friends Dr. said she would have to deliver early if she has it due to risk to the baby. I went to the Dr today and my Dr said that I do have it but there's nothing I can do about it, I asked him if there were any side effects that could effect the baby and he said no it's only a virus. I think he is way undergoing it. He also told me it was okay to go to work and work with children, My daughter has this and her Dr said it was highly contagious and can cause serious issues if not treated in time... I'm 27wks pregnant and have Hand Foot and Mouth. Any advise is welcome TIA.

ive never had it but i was under the impression that its really contagious and you need medicine for it

Defently get a second opinion, it is rare in adults to get this but extreamly contagious in children, there is no mediciene for it just stay away from children where possible usually clears up after 5-7 days. I have heard there is an extreamly slim chance you could have a misscarage so best going to another doctor.
