Quoting Discombobulated♥:" Exactly. That'd make her only 8 dpo, highly unlikely she'd get a positive even if she were pregnant. I believe I was just 13 dpo when I got my faint positive, one day before my missed period."

Not that I'm defending this BS story but I got my positive pregnancy test with my son at 8DPO. It's not THAT unlikely. Pregnancy tests are very sensitive these days. Some of them boast they can tell you 5-6 days before a missed period which given a 14 day ovulation schedule is 8-9 DPO.

She said she tested a week and a half ago, she wouldn't have even been 8do. She won't isn't even due to miss AF for a nother week. If she just tested the day she posted this than maybe. But no, not a week and a half ago.

I wasn't commenting on the op or her bs story. I was responding to a specific post and commenting about how it's not unlikely to get a positive at 8dpo given today's sensitive pregnancy tests.

I wasn't saying it was impossible, just highly unlikely. I've seen that people have gotten positives very early but I was just going by what I'd read. Most people start to get their BFP around 13 dpo and on, according to a lot of websites. Also she didn't add her LMP or her cycle length so basically I went off of her due date and when she was likely to conceive.

I didn't say you said it was impossible.I said that you are wrong and it's not "highly unlikely" to get a positive at 8DPO. It's rather common to get positives very early in pregnancy(5-6 day before a missed period) these days because pregnancy tests are now made to detect very low levels of HCG. You see multiple posts daily on this website alone showing extremely early positives.

And again, I wasn't directing my comment to the OP or her story. I was simply commenting on your post.

I just said I was going by what I've read. I'm not a doctor nor an expert on the subject. The majority of the websites I've been to say that a positive at 8 dpo is highly unlikely, I don't think it makes me wrong saying what I've read.

I have no idea how many DPO I was when I got my positive, but it was a week before my missed period. I had the hospital confirm it, and you couldn't see anything on an intravaginal(sp?) ultrasound. My ob told me that I was 2 weeks. I didn't even know it was possible to get a BFP before then

If I fell pregnant this cycle my EDD would be Jan 1st. I ovulated on the 10th of April (my Birthday lol) & yeah I'm only 9dpo (It's the 19th here)
If you got a positive a week & a half ago, you would have not even ovulated yet :/

I'm only just starting to think about testing. My earliest positive with my kids was 9dpo.

What do you have to gain from lying? It just baffles me that anyone would do something like this.
