re: Circumcision?!?

Exactly this. Also, it's not my body, so it's not my choice. As it is a cosmetic procedure, I think to myself: how would I feel if my mother had given me breast implants as a child before I had a say in it?

How do you know its more painful later in life? So instead you would rather put your newborn through horrid pain just to avoid them maybe having it done later when they have a higher pain threshold? Just because they have no memory of it later doesnt mean it doesnt hurt like hell.

There is just a ton of debate on this subject--but when it boils down to it, it's cosmetic. Simple as that. What you decide to do beyond that point is obviously your choice

haha well, i wasn't the one who ripped it, it was the girl he was with before me, the same thing happened to him then, i guess i just finished the job...
and he actually went to the hospital after it happened with me...

We didn't do it because there's really no reason to.

When we learned we were having a son, I let DH make the decision "because he's the guy" etc etc and I didn't have a clue about anything. He said it wasn't necessary, so we decided not to have our son circ'd. AFTER we made that decision, I started learning a lot more about circ'ing and I'm SO glad we decided not to. In the end, I just don't see a reason, like not one single reason to circ, so if we have any future boys, we won't be circ'ing either.

It's only America who has a vast population that think it's normal. Ask yourself this. Why does the rest of the world seem to manage just fine without them? Sure some places around the world get them, but not to the extent that the US Does. I don't hear much about infected penis's like I do on here. Teach your kid to wash it's bits.

Also who are you, or any parent for that matter to just cut off a part of someone else's body which has a function?

Personal choice would mean he makes the choice.

I did not do it for many reasons. But mainly, it's too dangerous, and it's not my penis.
