decide the number of people yoou want at the wedding. 20- 100. start there. then decide how many you want in thwedding. we are having a small wedding, it's going to be five for us, 2 bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen, and someone who walks me down the ilse.

Do it this summer.. if you want it small .. it should be a whole lot easier to get it together.. but then again i had a JOP wedding.. would you consider that?? it was easy as cheese for me and it's nice not having to worry about spending all that money.. maybe you could get a JOP out side and you could just go to a small park or by a river.. have a nice little white sun dress and a few close people.. that would be nice

We found out we were expecting then decided to marry - and did so the weekend of my 3rd trimester last November. Just do it when you're ready. And don't worry about looking "big and pregnant" in your wedding dress - that's what empire waist-style dresses are for! I was huge and I think I looked great because pregnant women are beautiful anyway.

Congrats!

Oh, and we got married in El Paso (his family is from there but we live in Arizona) and we had a 300 person wedding for less than pretty much anywhere in the nation......you can have a small intimate wedding or a huge one without spending so much.

But maybe in someone's badyard - that's small, personal and intimate.

well whenever you feel comfortable.. september sounds nice... i just noticed you live in rhode island .. i dont' know when it gets snowy there but it gets all nasty here as early as september.. even if you do it inside i just hate when its nasty weather BUT i guess it could rain during the summer. . . I had my baby shower at 22 weeks.. because we were visiting home ( he's military ) and that was the only time we could do it.. but we knew the sex so that wasn't really a big deal.

Why don't you have your baby shower and wedding shower closer to each other?

We had 4 months to plan our wedding (although 3months for our wedding shower, which we didn't start planning until 3 weeks prior to it even taking place), and after we were married, had 2 months to plan our baby shower, although we didn't start planning until three weeks prior.

But if you have them both together, you will only have eithera wedding gift or a baby gift from someone, whereas, if they're seperate, you can get one of each from people....

But the Golden Rule: if you invite them to your wedding shower, you MUST invite them to your wedding....kind of like "you were good enough for my shower to bring a gift but not good enough for my wedding." That's how people feel....and it's just not good etiquette.

my fiance and i are in the same position... First you have to decide on a date (June 7th for us) then decide if you want bridesmaids or not and the kind of food you want to serve. And the guest list is important. And you have to decide where you want to get married. Usually a friends house or yard or a city park isn't too expensive. And if you have an outdoor wedding you dont have to decorate so much... For photography you can have a pro just do shots of you guys dressed up and you can buy some disposable cameras and ask guests to take pics. And for music you could possibly hook up bigger speakers to a CD player or iPod...
My fiance and I are getting married in our front yard. A friend of ours is going to marry us (most states allow almost anyone over 18 to be odained to marry someone) and we're going to do the disposable camera thing for photography... Thank God he works for a adio station so our music is taken care of there.. And for food we're just going to do picnic type food...
Congratulations and Good Luck hun! if you need any more ideas pm me. I'm full of them

yes i really really like that idea... now i'm thinkin about when i want to renew our vows.. when we got married ( i didn't know this but) his dad didn't even know we were doing it.. he was still in tech school.. my mom and little sister were the only ppl there.. so i just imagine a little updo with a medium length white sundress.. and it being outside by a tree by the river.. very casual.. that way the people that missed out can be there to see us show that we can make it and still honor our vows..
