Fat Acceptance

So I'm half drunk half pissed off. And half drunk half pissed off Tara doesn't make a good combo.

Anyway I posted some pics on Facebook from a show I'm doing where I'm in a somewhat skimpy costume. I'm in the obese range and got some pretty nasty comments from people who are supposed to "care" about me. Meanwhile they know I'm A. Very sick, like death bed sick and B. have a severe hormonal imbalance that makes me fat (not that it mattters why I'm smurfing fat).

I don't feel it's really that inappropriate. I feel great in it. I don't think it reveals so much yet why the negitive feedback. Please explain. I acknowledge I'm fat, I acknowledge I'm not a size 2... so why the negitivity? Why can't fat people be confident in their body types while acknowledging they're not a size 0?

That's hardly skimpy! No cleavage, no belly hanging out, you're even wearing tights! And you look GREAT!

I see nothing wrong with that picture in fact I think you look beautiful.

Your around the same size as me by the looks of things, i think you look HOT, i loveee your choice of outfit, hair, makeup..

You need better friends. I also have a hormone imbalance that makes me unable to lose weight and no one has ever said anything mean to me about it. You look great and that outfit is by no means skimpy; it covers everything.

I think at least sometimes people can't understand how fat women can be happy with their bodies when they "look better" but still aren't happy... so they have to take you down some pegs so you're not happier than they are.
