mirena removal

i have an appt set for the 25th this month to get my mirena removed i only have had it for 5 months and it has been the devil within me. my questions are. any mommas have the mirena for a short time and then had it removed, how much did u bleed afterwards was it painful and did the emotional mood swings go away ? also i gained about 8lbs after having the mirena placed and jus cant seem to shed the lbs. did u shed the lbs u gained after the removal?

watching cause i want to get mine out but have had it 2 yeas.

iv only had my for 5 months and its driving me crazy and my boyfriend crazy.

Once mine was removed I think I only bled a few drops. It didn't hurt really it was more of a pricking feeling and then AF type cramps for an hour. It took maybe a month but the mood swings did go away and I started to lose weight slowly.

i tried keping mine.. but its just annoying now with the weight and moods and everything im like nope im done.. im thinking of changing to the implanion.. but dont know yet

i think i would have just dealt with the weight and the mood swings but then i found out i was pregnant and lost the pregnancy. i know its there for that purpose but theres a lot of things i wasnt told about the mirean that i jus learned it had upset me very much.

I have 2 cousins that are using implanon, apparently they HATE it. One of them was only 120 lbs and then 5 months after implanon she hit 155 lbs.

I got mine removed after 3 months. I did not have a lot of bleeding afterwards. I think just spotted for the rest of the day.

did u gain weight while u had the mirena ?

and op.. i agree.. the docs make it sound like this great thing but then you slowly learn stuff that your like if i knew that i would never have done it

thats exactly what i told my doctor when she said the mirena causes what she called it mini abortions" each month if the egg is fertilized and the reason they dont say it does this is because women see it as a life being taken each month. wth!! out of the 5 months of having the mirena it worked for only 2 1/2 months and one of the months i didnt have sex because i was constantly bleeding. i have a new doctor now that is removing the mirena and is offering to help naturally prevent pregnancy but i tried that and have a handsome almost 7 month old in my lap right now  . im switching to the pill iv always used and trusted before.
