How so? How does it look any "trashier" than a girl having it done? Why the double standard?

I think if a kid is old enough to decide for themselves what to do with their body, it should be up to them whether or not we think it's attractive.

Quoting Michael Leif's Mama.:" The only thing I even like a little bit on guys are the very small plugs or the fake plugs that look like small plugs but don't effect the growth. I'm just not a fan of the diamond look."

That's what my son wants. His ears are nearly healed so we'll be getting them soon. I think they look more masculine than diamonds.

Me too. I think one ear just looks dumb.

I voted no because I don't get any of my baby's ears pierced. I got my girls done when they asked. My son's 10 and has never asked but I probably would let him if he did.

hell no.
i would never do that to my sons, nor did i do it to my daughter. I had my ears done at like 3 weeks old and the holes are crooked and in a weird spot thanks to the way my ears grew.

My daughter is almost three and i used to be sad i didn't do it as a baby until i thought about the fact that i have a couple holes in each ear, i never wear earrings. So why would i get her or the boys' ears pierced?

Plus i saw a little boy once with long blond hair and diamond studs in each ear and he looked like a little girl. It was kind of sad :/

When my son was 5 he asked if he could get one ear pierced so we let him. I figured at that point he was old enough to decide if he wanted one or not. He had it in for about 2 years then he took it out. It never caused him any problems so I didn't see any problem with it. If he ever wanted it done again I would take him again. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I would not pierce anyone's ears without their consent.

I have no problem with any child getting an ear piercing, but only when they're old enough to ask for it and to understand that it's permanent and it's going to have to be cared for if you want to keep it.

My best friends son has both of his done. With bigger diamonds than I will ever have. He turns one this month. He got them at 3 months. EVERYONE thinks he is a girl. Even though he wears polos and baggy pants.

I would not ever pierce ababy full stop. They would need to be old enough to make the decision for themselves, and understand what is involed.

My son who is ten has one pierced. Just a stud which is fine. Two on a boy looks odd to me.

Yep me neither. When they are old enough to ask and know how to properly clean it themselves then that's one thing. But it's their body their choice. I don't want to make that decision for them. I honestly hope my son never wants his done though. Not a fan of the way they look on men.
