Really well... If we're stereotyping.. you Brits must not be very intelligent if you are insinuating that people who are trying to tell her it's ridiculous to want a pre term baby, are jerks. She continued to defend that notion even after dozens of us told her how absurd and selfish it is. Why don't you read the OP before commenting and saying we are vile and hateful. SMH..

One thing that I have been trying to figure out is why her doc would have been talking about c-section this early without her being in the hospital. The only thing that I can think is that they were suggesting that she have a c-section to avoid the stress on her body of laboring (once she is further along...ya know like term), or warning her that if things get too bad she may need an emergency c-section.

Vile American People?

Let me tell you a little reason why I may have came off as a bitch to her...
My baby sister was born prematurely. She spent the whole 5 months of her life in the hospital. Never saw the outside world.

R.I.P. To my baby sister, Haley Renee 9-16-05 to 3-1-06

Good luck to you for wanting your baby to be born early. Such a wonderful mom wishing that kind of harm on her unborn baby that didn't even ask to get conceived. If you don't want to carry a baby to term then don't smurfing open your legs.

They CAN give you a c-section that early. I had an emergency C-section due to high blood pressure at 35 weeks. But that is ignorant of you to WANT to have your baby now. I wish I could have went full term.

A bit late on the uptake I'm afraid 'ladies', but I'd have to concur with my British counterpart, it just seems to be something about Americans that invite such annoyance. With regards to the comments made about the lady wishing for an imminent birth, I would utterly agree that hoping for your child to be born prematurely is not a wise or selfless wish. However, there are ways to advise someone who (whether or not they are right or wrong) have turned to you for advice and reassurance. Instead, you hide behind your computer screens, slagging others off as it obviously makes you feel better about yourselves. Can't imagine that you would be so rude or unkind to a complete stranger in the dentist surgery or the supermarket. Only sat at your computer screen. Anyways, I only happened across this website as I I always google my pregnancy each week. I felt compelled to read all the posts on this thread, and then I felt even more compelled to create a profile just so I could to the rude 'ladies' (and I use the term loosely), that actually, quite a proportion of the world, including us Brits, regard quite a chunk of American society as just plain stupid! Most unfortunate as i am sure that many of you are not so arrogant and ignorant. But I have to say, it's women like you who fuel the stereotype and give Americans a bad name. Rather than placing yourself on an undeserved pedestal, why don't you check yourselves in the mirror and ask yourself why you have such a chip on your shoulder!! Remembering that this is no longer about the lady's original post and now about sorry excuses for women (more like a pack of rabid hyenas jumping on a prey) who clearly have not much better to do if this is how you get your kicks. Yes yes, do carry on as it is rather amusing.

Now i shall delete my profile as I only set it up so that I could take a few insomnia fuelled moments to tell you what a bunch of drongos you are. Now go back and be a good wife to your husband, a good mother to your children, until the next time you can log on to be a complete prat to some stranger
