Healthy Families?

The insurance plan, Healthy Families. Can adults be on this too? I went to the website and all I see are questions about children & signing children up for it.

I don't think so. Which sucks.

No, I'm pretty sure it's just for children. My children are on it though. I think it goes up to age 19, with certain requirements I believe.

  Well, if they are able to get it would there be a different insurance that I could get on that is income based? Or no?

I think Cal Optima is the only other option

It's CA version of Medicaid. If you go to the Welfare office you can apply there. I believe everything is free. I was on it while I was pregnant and B is on it now. You can ask there if there are other options though because the qualifications of CalOptima are kind of weird.

OH! I was asking about healthy families because I don't think we will qualify for medi-cal. I'm on Medi-cal right now but my husband got a new job and I don't think we will qualify for it anymore but we don't make enough to get his work benefits just yet.

Ohh. That sucks!! I'm sorry   I don't know much about Healthy Families. I'm working on getting it for my kiddo right now and so far it's taking a while to get the app.
