okay so just a question for you mommas who had had preemies that were fairly healthy...how much were they eating at about 3 weeks

4 oz every 2-3 hours

If I remember correctly, about four ounces every two hours.

oh wow! =]....my little man is eating barely 2 ounces, and the doc told me to not give him more than that at once.

Every preemie is different. Does he have GI issues?

honey my little guy was 9 weeks early and is now 6 weeks old... besides being preemie he is healthy is eating 2 ozs every 3 hours and gaining weight like crazy!!

at three weeks my son was eating 25mL every three hours, he went up to 29mL. Now at five weeks (he was recently sick with Group B strep) he is back at 25mL every three hours.

My son was born at 33 weeks and is one week old and up to 23mls every three hours

my little guy has no GI problems, and my doctor says not to feed him more than the 2 ounces. sometimes he eats his entire 2 ounces...sometimes less. He is gaining weight properly so that is good =]
