I would find out, so you can get over your gender disappointment if it is a girl, before she comes

By the way......... the "more expensive" is something you can control.

You can spend just as much, or more, on a boy baby as you can on a girl baby.

They're damn babies. They poop, eat, and wear whatever clothes you get them, and sit and sleep in whatever furniture you give them.

boys can be just as expensive as girls. What are you gonna do if your baby is actually a girl?

Um...you should be happy with which ever you get. Its a 50/50 chance when you get pregnant you know. So let me ask this, if it turns out to be a girl what will you do? Will you love her less than a boy?

They told me they thought I was having another boy, sure I was disappointed at first but now I couldn't be more excited! I'm sure you'll feel differently once you have the baby.

Quoting anonymom:" where are these studies? Expenses are the same until they need tampons? It's your choice to be special stuff. Gender disappointment is fine, but seriously?"
but at the same time boys need condoms at some point and I would rather buy tampons or condoms for either or.

Am I the only one hoping she gets a boy so she doesn't end up resenting this kid later?

Good luck with that.

Hopefully you don't resent your daughter when she's born.

Honeslty I work in the child care field and deal with both genders all the time. Yes studies may show that but its all how you raise your child. People tend to baby there girls and treat them as princesses..this is often why they become what you described. But I have seen many boys that are the same. If you have a daughter then don't raise her to be that way.

I'm hoping for a boy myself, but having a baby is really about gender-free love. It's normal to really want one sex over the other, but no matter what you get be happy that they're healthy!

That would probably be a good idea, and abort if you're going to resent her.
