xD What I see here are a bunch of band wagon jumpers. If you have a problem with it, don't do it, but OP does have a point -- who are you to tell her how to raise HER child? How about YOU call CPS and we will see what happens. Also, that lazy comment doesn't make much sense to me, it takes less effort to nip the child than it does to say "no" a million times. Let me ask you, do you spank your kids? Slap their hands when they are playing with plugs or outlets? Oh heavens no, that's abuse. Lmfao.

You don't seem particularly intelligent if you didn't understand my comment. Biting them back doesn't take effort, thought, or parenting skill. Biting back because it doesn't take as much patience and is "less effort" means you're doing it because you are lazy.

And no I don't believe in spanking or slapping my children. I believe in talking to them and teaching them and they listen. I don't need to cause my children pain to make them listen or understand, they have a brain capable of reasoning. And it certainly doesn't take "a million times" although it does take patience, persistence, and consistency. Apparently you don't have time for that.

I have had CPS called on my twice now what and my child is still in my custody......
She asked for our help......Posting this if CPS is called can bit her in the ass and prove she is abusive and they can take her child so try again.
No i put my child in time out OR in his room till he is done throwing a fit.

my child does not get smacked for playing with anything. she doesnt get smacked one bit. i have patience. which is supposed to be in the "recipe" for mothers

A lot of people told me that biting my son back would help. I haven`t tried though.
My son is 20 months old, and he was biting a LOOOT at daycare and we just didn`t know what to do.
They don`t usually bite out of anger, or anything, at that age, it`s most likely just teething and all you can do is buy her more toys to teeth on, avoid oral numbers if possible but use them if you think she really needs it.
I did the fake crying too, did not work. I said no, I told him it hurts mommy and so on so forth. nothing was working.
Finally I forced myself to ignore him. If she`s biting you, and it`s not because she`s teething IGNORE IT. I know, it effin hurts, their teeth are sharp. BUT, ignoring it is the best way to go, I found anyways. every child is different of course, but this is what developmental workers told me to do, and it worked.
