hey porsche. we went to see that exhibit not too long ago when it was here in baltimore. I thought it was so neat. although my favorite was the fetus exhibit. i was like 13 wks at the time and it was so cool to see what the baby looked like in life... not just on a 2D picture i get from the doctor. i found it fascinating. and even now, as im getting bigger and bigger i can remember exactly how big and how every fetus looked in almost every stage. even chad thought it was really neat. i loved the display with the woman who was 5 mo pregnant and they showed her with her stomache half open so you could see the 5 mo fetus and how it was laying inside of her. that was really neat. i thought that made the whole exhibit.

i don't think i would go to it.  i heard that many of the bodies are from chinese prisoners who did not consent to or have any say so in it so that bothers me.  criminal or not i don't think anyones body should be on display for the world to just gawk at.  and it bothers me because medical schools could have put those cadavers to much better use than just people paying to go see them.  i don't know haha something about it just pisses me off.

Well, the link didn't work for me, but I googled some pictures and it looks fascinating!

I'd go see it, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about my little ones going. Maybe when they were a little older.

oh man, i went and saw this a few years ago when it was showing in frankfurt.

it was mind-boggling on SO many levels.

nick wouldn't go with me... i managed to drag a friend w/ me. nick's whole family thought it was sick.

i thought it was one of the most awesome things i have ever seen in my life.

i'd totally let my kids go see it.

the people who died actually signed up for it.

but yeah, it's controversial-- i expect b/c of the supposed "sacredness" of the human form. i dunno. i'm too literal and too fascinated by our bodies inner workings and all their secrets to see what the controversy is.

I saw it in Tampa June of '06. It was amazing, I think small children would be bored though. The baby room made me a little sad.

I went to one in Germany but it was more artsy...They had a guy one a horse and both were completly stripped of their skin..It was pretty cool...They also had a pregnant woman..that was creepy..you could see the baby and all.....

Then I went to the one mentioned, here in Atlanta...I loved it! Did you notice how every single one was asian..They said the bodies were indeed from China and that these peole donated their bodies ( before dying) for the exibit.. Some of them were also homeless homeless.....

I'd go and I'd take the kids no matter their age. Its a human body so I dont think its anything to be scared or ashamed of. I dont think someone can ever learn too much, regardless of how old they are. My son likes to look at the pictures in my medical books and can tell you about alot of the human body parts, including both sex organs.
