Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ I actually found it quite interesting. They also had fetus' from 12 weeks up to 28 weeks....I think 6 ... [snip!] ... bit sad, but the ones they used were lost to miscarrage anyway so at least they we're able to do something positive with them.”
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ Yeah, she's pretty young though right? I would just tell her the truth. That they are that way because ... [snip!] ... to learn how to save other babies from getting sick. I would use it as a positive way for her to learn, instead of a sad thing.”
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ That's what we did. My husband and I went first. And yes, a lot of the specimens were full grown males. ... [snip!] ... see them without all the proper parts. I feel like i would be doing them an injustice by leaving out any part of the anatomy.”This is my thought:
Quoting Sadie700-[SHIB]:“ i agree with turning things into positive learning experiences.. when one of our dogs drowned in our ... [snip!] ... know with the combination of me being pregnant and my daughter being sensitive if that would be such agood idea...lol ”Well you definitely know your kids best! Some kids are very sensitive and that isn't a bad thing at all! I wish some of that empathy would rub off in my house raging in testosterone.
Quoting Winduh:“ Well you definitely know your kids best! Some kids are very sensitive and that isn't a bad thing at all! I wish some of that empathy would rub off in my house raging in testosterone.”
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ HAha, I was a nerd too. Just one with a shaved head and lots of piercings. My kids have no choice on ... [snip!] ... of the way I've raised them. Everything we do is somehow made into a learning experience. They love it though. ”
Quoting Sadie700-[SHIB]:“ its so different... you have the boys running around, clubbing each other with wiffle (whiphel?) bats... ... [snip!] ... barbies and wants to do a tea party... I was a tomboy.. i didnt raise her to be like that... she did that on her own..lol”*whispers* I want one
Quoting EmmaGrace:“ ok, so I've been wondering what early fetuses look like. Can you describe what the earlier ones (12 weeks or so)looked like? (size, form, etc.)”They were beautiful. The 12 weeker was actually a lot bigger than I thought she would be. She was about 6 inches from the top of her head to her bum. It looked pretty much the same way it does in all the pregnancy books.
Quoting Prenita:“ There is a museum i want to go to as well. Mutters or something like that i believe is in Germany....but oh god the wondrous horrors in that museum.....”
Quoting Winduh:“ *whispers* I want one ”
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ You should have one. If it's anything as beautiful as your other children, you'd need a shotgun to guard the door!”
