Quoting Prenita:“ Gray's anatomy is the book. Grey's anatomy is the show. I have the book..love it. never saw the show once.”
Quoting AshliM:“ It makes me feel better that I am not the only one!!”
Quoting Prenita:“ I really try to stay away from stupid soap opera style shit. It's annoying.”
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ Wow, that is truly sad that people think of modern media before true science. My kids are science freaks....just like I was at their age. I'm glad to hear there are others like me!”
Quoting Prenita:“ Gray's anatomy is the book. Grey's anatomy is the show. I have the book..love it. never saw the show once.”
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ Wow, I'm glad you would consider taking your children eventually. It seriously surprises me that you ... [snip!] ... your children now because they have the reproductive organs visible. Why does that matter? It's all parts of the human body....”
Quoting Cowgirl47429:“ I would probably go see it but I think the only thing I DONT like that would probably upset me (emotionally ... [snip!] ... be the pregnant woman they have with being able to see everything and just know that baby never got to "live" outside the womb.”I actually found it quite interesting. They also had fetus' from 12 weeks up to 28 weeks....I think 6 in all. They were floating in fluid and had been injected with a special dye so you sould see the bone devolopment. It was actually my favorite part. It was truly amazing. I did find it a bit sad, but the ones they used were lost to miscarrage anyway so at least they we're able to do something positive with them.
Quoting Future_Chicago_Cubs_Mommy:“ Yeah, people always made fun of me for being a science geek and a history nerd and an english geek but ... [snip!] ... into and attended very good schools. Go figure. Keep doing what you're doing with your kids - it WILL pay off in the end.”HAha, I was a nerd too. Just one with a shaved head and lots of piercings. My kids have no choice on the subject....because of the way I've raised them. Everything we do is somehow made into a learning experience. They love it though.
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ I actually found it quite interesting. They also had fetus' from 12 weeks up to 28 weeks....I think 6 ... [snip!] ... bit sad, but the ones they used were lost to miscarrage anyway so at least they we're able to do something positive with them.”
Quoting Sadie700-[SHIB]:“ I more than agree that its part of the human body, and would be a cool learning tool...but maybe at ... [snip!] ... of the exhibit online... but I dont know the whole scoop.. I'd go first with my guy, and then make a decision from there...”That's what we did. My husband and I went first. And yes, a lot of the specimens were full grown males. Penis, testicles and all. I honestly wouldn't want my children to see them without all the proper parts. I feel like i would be doing them an injustice by leaving out any part of the anatomy.
Quoting ~Tattooedmama~:“ My husband and I went to see this today. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my ... [snip!] ... So, what do you think? Would you go? Would you take your children? Why or why not? If your reason is religion, please explain.”
Quoting Sadie700-[SHIB]:“ I would find that cool... I think my daughter would freak... and then worry about my baby for the rest of the pregnancy....”
