I definately agree.

I heard of this on the news and while my morbid curiosity would be high I don't think i could bring myself to go.. Besides, the report i was watching on the news was trying to question the organizers exactly where they got the bodies for the exhibit.. Apparently it all looked pretty shady and the organizers wouldn't talk to the journalists.. I think they were trying to imply the bodies were victims of some sort of conflict going on in asia and the bodies were taken w/o permission? IDK - just what I faintly remember watching..

I'd so rather my children see real bodies and the organs true purposes then watching tv and having their young minds trying desperately to understand the way the media portrays say, a woman's body.

You know, this actually came into my mind as well. My grandmother passed away in July. She was a devout baptist, but before she died she donated all her organs(for whoever needed them) and then donated the rest of her body for science.Talk about the gift that keeps on giving!  It may sound morbid to everyone else, but the thought that one of those bodies could be hers made me swell with pride. Knowing that people could use the body of someone I loved to possibly find cures they didn't have before and teach people things that they never thought possible is freakin awesome. Anyone that donates their body(for organs or science, or otherwise) is a super hero in my book!

Wow, way to get them started young! That rocks! And I'm so glad at least someone has heard of that book - everyone always asks me "oh, there's a book about the show?"......it's the opposite - it's a show based on the book......

Wow, that is truly sad that people think of modern media before true science. My kids are science freaks....just like I was at their age. I'm glad to hear there are others like me!

I feel the same way. My Grammie always said organ donation was a way for her to live on. She was right. Just like the heart she got in a transplant from a 10 year old donor.....she will live on in someone elses body. That is truly amazing to me.
