Cocaine use and baby

I know I'll get smurf for this, but I really need some questions answered.

Ok. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant, and I have snorted cocaine and a variety of pills during this time, maybe about six times total since I found out I was pregnant at 8 weeks.

My questions are:

1) If I don't do any more drugs henceforward, will these drugs come back on mine and the baby's blood tests?
2) What are the chances I've really harmed my baby? I would Google myself but I have terrible luck finding exactly what I need. Does anyone have any percentages?
3) If they determine I've used drugs during my pregnancy, will they take my baby away? Where will they take him? And can I get him back?

Thank you to all who can answer my questions without judgement. I realize this is a smurfed up situation. So if you want to yell at me, say how stupid and negligent I am, please just do it in K&S or something.

I cant answer any of those questions. It depends on your state and I'm not sure how long cocaine and pills stay in your system. I hope your baby is ok, my only advice is to stop that behavior for good.

I mean . . . It really varies from state to state so you wont get a direct answer.

Uhhh you should prob stop now , get into a rehab so you get some help.
Hopefully your baby will be ok.

They won't drug test you unless anyone requests it..or the doctors suspect something. They can take your baby. I'm not sure of the damage is done but I would stop now. Don't do it again. It isn't worth losing your baby. Good luck mama.

Hmm, I do not know for sure about the possible birth defects or any of that, but I hope you are able to overcome your addiction. I think the biggest problems that come from cocaine are heart problems, withdrawl in the infant and very low birth weight.

They may take your baby until they can see that you are working very hard on getting/staying clean.

Have you tried finding a support group to help you get through it? Or maybe a counselor who can help you?

If you can't stop you need to seek help. I can't tell you rather your baby is going to be okay or not. But what you did was very irresponsible and very bad for your unborn child.

If they find it in your system it is highly likely they will take him...put him in Foster care. And its also highly likely you've already done alot of damage to him...I won't yell at you because you know you've messed up or you wouldn't have posted but I hope you realize how big of a mistake you've made and how badly you've hurt your child...

I don't know about that but thc will show up in merconium within the lat 4-5 mo of pregnancy. I smoked with my first for nausea, and had to deal with DCFS even tho my doc knew about it. I'm expecting my 3rd and I smoked until I was 24 weeks, I'm currently 26. I googled the info I needed which was sort of helpful, I would try yahoo as well. Like I said I don't know about coke or pills if they would have harmed the baby, but if you stopped then is shouldn't show on blood tests but you may want to check merconium testing!
