episiotomy scarring and pain during sex? tmi.

So I had an episiotomy that was ridiculously painful, took almost the full sex weeks to heal, and has left me with a cervix that feels like a battlefield and inner labia with a dangly bit of flesh... this dangly bit is PAINFUL. It hurts to have sex. It hurts to receive oral. I don't know why. It's been there since I was sewn back up.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What do you do to relieve the pain?

Yep. I am almost 12 weeks PP and it hurts to have sex and I know it's because of the episiotomy. Not sure if it's the way I was cut or not but I definitely have scar tissue down there or something because nothing feels the same... sex NEVER used to be painful for me. Now it kills. The only thing that has helped me is a ton of lube.

how far pp are you? it hurt a while after we started having sex again , like quite a few months after my first. also i get a lot of pressure when i get AF its weird

LO is 19 months.
It SHOULDN'T feel like this for this long!

This is way tmi, but I think the flap of skin is getting rubbed back and forth and it's just too sensitive... It feels a bit like a rugburn, I guess. IDK what to do about it, though :/

yea wow !! maybe you could talk to your OB about getting that peice of skin removed

I need tofind a new one.. the one who delivered LO is never coming near my vagina again. Not even with a ten foot pole.

Oh man! Y'all are scaring me! I'll be 6 week PP friday, and I had a 2nd degree episiotomy. I've been soooo excited to do the "Hanky-Panky" again, but now I'm scared!

You guys ALL have horror stories. I did water birth with my first. Hospital Birth for my second and home birth for my third. I NEVER TORE, I NEVER had an episiotomy and my experiences arent bad at all. I never had an epidural or used ANY MED and none of my deliveries from beginning to to end never lasted more than 3-4 hours My smallest baby was 8 pounds 4 oz and my biggest was 10 pounds 3 oz. First one delivered at 39 weeka, Second at 38 and my last was at 37 weeks and that was the big one and I didnt even have gestational diabetes either.Just big healthy babies. AFTER MY FIRST, I waited 3 weeks for vaginal intercourse but only 10 days for anal intercourse. After my LAST ONE, practically attacked my poor husband at 7 days. (And HE was ONE TRYING TO BE THE REPONSIBLE, and worried for me! LOL).. I have never had an infection, not one stitch, Yeah, there was always a little bit of pain the first time with vaginal intercourse but thats kinds to be expected ESPECIALLY AFTER A 10 POUND BABY! So, I know there are a LOT OF HORROR stories out there BUT in my experience and with my famiy and friends experience. 99% of the time everything works out ok.. Remember, we women gave been having babies for more tha 5000 years. Doctors and meds are jst a recent additition. I have three, I would have liked more but it is what it is,..... SO, just TRY to enjoy motherhood, they DO GROW SO FAST!
