You don't understand? People make the decision to abort because they feel it is right for them. Some may regret it sure, like some of us regret many decisions we make, but many many women do not regret it at all.

Well lets see, I don't regret mine because we were using condoms and I still got pregnant. I don't regret it because the medications I was taking would have caused severe birth defects to the baby, and getting off the med was not an options they were the only things helping me and my mood stability and my anxiety and depression, and for the first time I was finally able to feel like a normal human who could be happy and felt like a good mom for a change. So that's how I could go about it and not regret it one single bit.

I have never had an abortion. But I know many people who have had one & do not regret it. If you think about the pros & cons beforehand, & do what is best for your situation, you most likely will not regret it.

I was going to do it with my 4th child and I still have guilt over it. As soon as she was born I started crying and didn't stop for 15 minutes. I was going to get it done but because of lack of funds I didn't. Thankfully everything worked out and I am able to take care of her and my others just fine. The reason I asked this quesiton was just to see how people felt now, now that time has moved you forward and life has gone on and you see where life has taken you. I didn't do it but I do know that if I would of at that moment it would of been the right decision but now that life has moved me forward I am glad I didn't because I see everything worked out.

I regret it every day. It was three years ago.
If I knew then what I knew now about a foetus at 15 weeks then I would never have even considered it. But I was young and naive. I fell pregnant again december last year and my cirumstances aren't ideal for having a baby, but I will not go through the trauma I did before. And I am now 18 weeks pregnant and will love and protect my baby until the day I die.

Sometimes ... When I look at my daughter and wander what it was - boy or girl or who it could have been ... BUT I also know that my life would be very different and I love my life today so i have to take reality with a positive attitude and pray it was for the best. I pray he/she is watching over me... I am still his/her mommy.

And I also regret very much the reason I got it... I feel I was kind of made to think that was my only option...

I've learned if you can't change the past, then you shouldn't regret it. However, if you don't take the time to learn from it and try to better yourself and make better decisions so you don't have to do it again then you will regret it everyday. and that childs life was for nothing. every life means something. i miss my child but i don't regret what i've done.

EVERY FREAKING DAY I regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son had a fatal neural tube defect. We chose to terminate the pregnancy. I had a D&E at 21 weeks after they injected his tiny little body with Digoxin to stop his heart. I had two options... that route, OR, carry full term and risk delivering a stillborn and having major complications on my end.

Today I wish I would have carried him full term so that I could have seen his precious face and held him for just a little while....

It's hard to answer this poll because I have 2 answers.
YES, I regret it every day. Especially now that I'm pregnant and keeping this one. I feel like a horrible person for making the choice I made - and for SOME people there is no choice. BUT at the time I didn't think I had another option. The reality was that I was too scared to make another choice. In retrospect, I would have chosen adoption -- but, unfortunately, I can't take back what I did. I was 16 and worried about my image. I didn't have money to raise a child. I did what I felt was the best for me, but that poor angel baby never had a choice. I'm a week away from my due date for my daughter now, and I love her more than anything in the world. If I would have given the other baby a chance, I know I'd have loved it just the same...
