Okay, so before I got pregnant I use to take Zertec every day cause I have bad allergies :/ and well I stopped as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I asked my doctor and he told me allergy meds are usually okay after 20 weeks. I am now 21 weeks and I am trying to decide whether to start taking Zertec or Claritin, but i just feel weird about it. I literally wake up every morning around 8 and sneeze, blow my nose, and spit up flem for like 2 hours before falling asleep. I absolutely hate it. I think its gotten worse since being pregnant, cause before I would just have allergies during the day, but not have to wake up during the night, or literally feel like a bus ran over me for 2 hours straight, multiple times of the day. I have tried changing my air filter, and moving my two cats in a different area, and its just not helping.
Just wondering have any of you used allergy meds besides benadryl (does not work at all for me) and everything was fine? Its just sucky right now I was just going to wait till the 26th for my next appointment, but its just terrible.
Well I was looking for my paper they gave me when I found out I was pregnant of the list of medications it's ok to take when pregnant, but I couldn't find it so I Googled your question. Apparently it's safe to take Claritin while pregnant.
hey there i feel your pain my allergies are so much worse now than before i was pregnant. I use polaramine. for my hayfever, its a allergy med that is safe during pregnancy, im not sure if you can get it where your at but in australia you can.
