My LO is sick *Update*

Well i spoke with the doctor this morning. He is down to a lower setting on the ventilator and is breathing a bit more on his own. He is moving about some (very lazily though) and he has a little more color. But he is still very sick. They have increased the dose of both antibiotics and are giving them to him every 8 hours. He is on IV fluids and will not receive feeds for a few more days. His infection is Late-onset Group B Strep. Not what we wanted. But it was caught pretty early so at least that is good. He recieved a blood transfusion today due to a low blood count. So far, it looks like the infection is only in his blood. In the next two days we should know how well the antibiotics are treating the infection.

His doctor thinks they caught it early enough to get rid of it quickly. Hopefully hes right.
