The thing is that I wondered how f-ed up I was being because he was doing everything and works his tail off everyday so I can stay home with our son.....I thought I was the worst, most ungrateful, person on this planet. But once I realized the cause, those feelings went away.

Definitely talk to someone about this and bring it up with your OB/GYN and don't listen to ANYTHING negative people tell you - that will only bring you down that much more.

Unless your husband is a cheating/abusing person, you are probably just feeling late PPD.

Thank you!!! I am trying not to listen to people when they tell me what to do because I know no one who hasn't been in my position knows what I'm going through.

People will say things to you but just brush them off and say "ok thanks" in a polite way and just walk away. That way they know they can't get under your skin because the second they do, they feed of your energy and don't stop trying to bring you down. It sucks but it's a fact.

I went to my OB today, and she said its completly normal. She said that depression can cause your libido to go down, as well as birth control pills. She also told me that the more a person has sex, the more they want to do it, so just put on a smile and do it for my hubby. This is just a little weird fact, but the female lion wont have sex after having her cubs untill they are full grown... SO, I think thats just how nature programmed us. Obviously we can't wait 18 years to have sex... even though that doesn't sound so bad... hahaha. She put me on an anti depressant that is supposed to boost my energy and HOPEFULLY give me my sex drive back. Also, I am getting on Mirena that doesn't have as many hormones so it shouldn't mess my sex drive up so much.

thanks for the update! I kinda figured it was just nature's cruel joke... i'm breastfeeding so I can see the "lion" analogy. I have been trying to just suck it up and go with the flow... but still i'm content just going straight to bed.

I am on the mini-pill now, but once I wean my son I will go to the doctor and see about my other options. BC Pills always mess me up!

Me too. I was on the patch after I had my daughter, and I would get such bad migranes I would lose my vision. Then I switched to ortho low and i couldn't remember to take it at the same time every day, so it messed my periods up pretty badly. Then I switched to Yaz and it fixed my periods, but I just felt bloated alll the time... blah. I think I'm really going to like Mirena.

I'm in the same boat it doesn't please me anymore since I had my daughter. My husband throws hissy fits going "I got more before we married, you know I need it nightly" & if I do get off on sex it takes a while of foreplay to get me even the slightest bit into it. I just stay so worn down that I'm never in the mood for it... Hopefully it'll return oneday.

Yeah, my husband works for the Railroad and is gone alll the time, so I'm pretty much a single mom, so I don't have that extra energy to want to have sex all the time.

me and my boyfriend have a great sex life. but im 7 mnths preggo. and this is really scarring. me cause sex is REALLLLLLYYYY big to him and i dont want my sex drive to interfere with our relationship. we already go at it cause of my hormones and his emotions all the time. i cant stop having sex with him he'll probably leave me. i just dont understand why sex is so BIGGG to him. HELLLLPPP!!!

probably just his age... boys that age have a major sex drive. With adolescence and all those hormones (i'm just guessing he is somewhere around your age).

My hubby enjoys it too, but he knows that this is something that I am battling with and he understands. He would never leave me b/c of such a small issue as no sex drive.
