Has anyone almost went through with an abortion but backed o

posted 4th Apr '12
I'm not sure where to post this........but i just wanted to know if anyone has ever almost went through with an abortion but backed out last minute? How do you feel now about your decision? I almost had one once. I had the class, the ultersound everything up to actually going in, laying down and having it done. I was 12 weeks with my 4th. I know that a lot of people have regret over having abortions, keeping the baby, or feel great about either decision. I am one of those people who look at my three year old and every year we celebrate her birthday I cry because I almost didn't keep her. I am completely pro-choice and understand that every woman has to do what's best for them. It's a very difficult decision either way when it's not planned or situations come up.

I didn't really choose to back out.. I couldn't get the money together (lost my first job before I even knew I was pregnant because I was throwing up constantly, exhausted, etc) and nobody in my family would support me in that decision.

I try not to feel bad about it. I still feel like it was the best decision at the time to keep my life going where I wanted it, but I couldn't imagine giving up the little one now and she hasn't even been born yet.

I didn't have the $$$ to do it either. I guess maybe that would of been a better title. I am really happy I didn't have it though, even though I am NOT religious in anyway, I feel like it was a sign of what I should do. I live in Utah and abortions here at $425. We talk about keeping the babies, or having abortions but I haven't heard too many stories about women who wanted an abortion at first but kept the baby for whatever reason and how they feel now.

I almost did-- for all the wrong reasons. I wanted to keep him, but I thought SO at the time did not. My brother drove me, I had the ultrasound done and was waiting in the waiting room to be called back. I left, $300 poorer but I am glad I did! He is the light of my life, I can't imagine life without him. =)

I was lying Taking off my pants etc and started crying I the surgery room and the dr refused to do for me cause I'm emotionally unstable. So after the next visit to terminate n I brought my husband along, after seeing the abortion video procedures he changed his mind.

It didn’t happen with me but my mom. I remember I was there with my parents and mom went in. Later on I came to know that doctor denied at the last moment.

I did, paid, got undressed, had my tempature taken even had my blood drawn and had the iv in my arm about to get the pain medicine. The doctor walked in asked me if I was sure with my decision, I said yes. He pulled out the medicine and I changed my mind. After all that! I'm glad I did though, I knew my family would be disappointed, but when the dust settles they will be fine. I'm the one who has to live with my decision. And if I went threw with it I would have been devastated afterwards.

My mom did with me. It doesn't make me pro life at all, or glad that she didn't, but I don't really think that way.. I had one a few years ago and don't regret it either
