Around 11 months, Emmy started using those sippy cups with the straws already attached. I don't remember the first time she used an actual adult straw though.

Brooklyn doesn't yet, and Madison was probably about 11-12 months. I haven't tried with Brooklyn, maybe I should soon ;)

She was around 8 or 9 months old. I was holding her in my lap at a restaurant chatting with a friend and she just leaned over and started sucking down my lemonade!

My son started using a sippy cup with the silicone straw around 8 mos. He was able to use a regular straw around the same time. He actually preferred sucking on a straw over a bottle, and weaned himself completely by 9 mos.

I think my oldest was around 10-11 mos., and my youngest was 7.5 mos. My mom taught them so I'm not sure exactly how she did it.
