I don't believe this. They don't force abortion on women in China even if they have five children. The family just has to pay a tax on the extra children. I wish people didn't think this of China... their one child policy doesn't mean they kill babies born to families who already have kids. -___-

There are known forced abortions in China...but it's actually rare. Fines and penalties are EXTREME in urban areas where populations are dense. There is a government fine, in the form of a tax and the child(ren) cannot receive medical care either state sponsored or company offered, cannot attend public schooling and, in general is not entitled to ANYTHING other than what the parents and the parents alone can provide.
