essure?

Has anyone had the essure procedure done? I don't know much about it. I'm going to actually research it but am just too tired to do it tonight. So if you've had it done' tell me your experiance!

I haven't had this done yet...i plan on it after baby is born, but i worked in an OB/GYN clinic that did this procedure and it is supposed to be more effective than having your tubes tied. I (thought) i had mine done after baby number 2 but am about to have #3 so that was a bust....anyways....they give you a 'cocktail' of I believe valium and vicodin to take before the procedure so that you are nice and goofy when they come in. They also use a local numbing agent to numb your cervix. then they insert the camera and the coil things and you are done. Then you go back 3 months later to have a dye injected into your uterus and an x-ray taken to make sure your tubes are blocked. You are in and out the same day. No cutting or anything like that. that doesn't sound too bad   Is it pretty expensive?

I'm not sure about the price. I believe most insurances cover it though.
