It is normal; and don't let anyone let you feel otherwise. I have two boys and always wanted a little girl. And my Aunt's sis always wanted a boy and has five girls.

I know my husband and I will be dissapointed if this one turns out to be another girl.. we have 2 girls as well.. and have been talking about a boy since the day we found out I was prego.. I know that we would be happy if it is healthy... but we will still be dissapointed if it turns out to be a girl...

wow...I'm new here...like...really new here. This is like maybe my 2nd post? I donno...anyway, I already have a boy with my exhusband. he's 7 and is definitely a typical boy. This'll be the first for my boyfriend though (we've been together about 2 years, now) and he's DYING for a boy...but really I want a girl so bad I can barely stand it! Due 9.30 and we get to find out at the end of ths month what we're having but MAN....I really wanna girl LOL I had terrible morning sickness with this one, which is COMPLETELY opposite of when I was pg with my boy. Nurses said that usually that's a good sign for a girl so I'm hoping i didn't go through all this for another boy!! LOL
thanks for reading!

my husband and i so badly wanted a lil girl we found out tuesday its a boy at my last ultrasound. at all the other ultrasounds i had they couldnt tell so i had my hopes up could be a girl. disappointed yeah but oh well lil man is so loved anyway. and now my husband has another hunting buddy. we have 3 boys and 1 girl we wanted a lil girl to sort of even it out. a friend of mine is due a month after me shes having a girl but so badly wanted a boy to round out her family lol. funny how things work out. my daughter is the middle child and so mad she has all brothers talk about middle child syndrome lol. but anyway my friend and i were talking about gender disappointment the other day when i took all the girls clothes that were given to me and gave them to her. it sort of broke my heart to give them to her but knowing she could use them its okay. i have alot of neutral stuff anyway that i bought when we didnt know just in case so i had clothes for this baby lol. yeah its normal to feel that way i was told, it dont mean we wont love our babys as much.

My hubby and I wanted a boy first so that we wouldn't care what our second baby was. It turned out to be a girl and I was very disappointed, when I told my hubby he said, "It figures". Now that I'm prego again, we're really hoping for a boy, but I'm feeling the same exact symptoms as I did with my girl. So I'm nervous to find out. We want a boy so bad. We had planned on adopting a boy if it is a girl so we don't keep on having girls.

My hubby's mom had 4 boys and all of them had girls first. Only one had a boy second the other had another girl. So we're nervous.

With our third, we are not finding out the gender because I KNOW I will have major gender disappointment(more than I had this time)and I'm not prepared to go through that, and carry some of the guilt that comes with it. I knowit's normal but felt guilty about it. I figure how disappointed can I be if I'm holding my baby girl in my arms!

I have anothetr boy on the way. I was kind of hoping for a girl but when I think about it, it wouldn't really matter as long as the baby is healthy. Now, I'm glad it's a boy because I have so many clothes for him!!!!!

My uncle had a son and when his wife was prego with #2 they were so sure it was a girl... so sure that they had the baby's room done, and a baby shower and all..... until the day the baby was born and was a BOY!!

They were happy the baby was healthy, but you can imagine their surpirse... They had to repaint and take back almost EVERYTHING they had for the new baby.

Good thing I'm a pessimist. I want a boy baby, but I'm fully expecting a girl to be there. I'm not a girly-girl and I've been more of a tom-boy since childhood. I played rough & tumble football with the boys, was the only girl on the baseball team, collected frogs & lightening bugs for fun, loved climbing & jumping...Even today I connect better with guys and my closest friends have been male & only a couple female. I don't do makeup, high heels, and rarely wear dresses or skirts.
I don't think I'll connect well with a daughter or be much fun. I do the gender u/s May 19th & I'm taking the day off work so I can either celebrate or sulk all day.

My daughter is a 4 year old who can rough and tumble with the boys and do it in a pink princess dress! She's the strangest mix of tomboy and girly girl. She loves all things slimy and high heels. Just because you have a girl doesn't mean they will be ALL makeup and pretty dresses. LOL

I am in the same exact boat! I have two girls ages 6 and 7 and we are having our third girl. I wanted a boy so badly and I was sure this one was a boy but nope, pink again! I wasn't as disapointed as I thought I would be when I found out, like I didn't cry or anything, but I was a little sad. I am really excited now though and had a lot of fun decorating her room. I have pretty much given up on the possibility of ever having a little boy and I am o.k with that. I love my girls! I can't wait to see her and see who she looks like. Both my girls have such differnent personalities it will be interesting to see how this one is. I have 6 weeks to go and I am going insane!

I feel the same way I wanted a little boy so bad but I had another girl. We have 3 girls now and I can’t have anymore. I was not upset when I found out my last was a girl I think only because when I was in the doctors office they was another lady who found out something was wrong with her baby and all she was doing was crying so at that point I was thinking god that my little girl was ok and healthy and to me that was gods way of showing me to be happy with what you get and happy that they are healthy. As for my mom she cried because out of seven grand kids she only has one boy and she wanted another grandson
