Quoting Spottedscar:" I have a female doctor and even she's required (like all of the ones at our clinic are) to have a nurse ... [snip!] ... someone, people are just starting to realize that. Though there are some days I wish there wasn't another person in the room"
I just think I remember times of not having another person in the room when my female doc was there. My Mom was in the room though, not sure if that made a difference? But I highly trust my docs, but honestly I like male OB's more. I think they are less awkward, lol. I do think it would be better not to have another person in the room just because they do make it kind of awkward at times. Especially since I am ALWAYS in the doctor lately and am in a lot of pain with my cysts and stuff, and really the less people I have in the room for my procedures the better. I just like the people I trust. But I understand protocol.
