Having a say in who is around my daughter

So as of right now, i am currently 35 weeks pregnant. Recently separated from the father of my child. Yesterday he informed me that he has a new girlfriend, which i don't have a problem with. I told him that i did not want his new gf, to be around our child. Because one i do not know the girl, two i don't want another girl(unless he marries her) around her and three his new gf already has her own child on the way that she has to worry about....am i wrong for telling him that i don't want this girl around our daughter?    

I can understand the feelings, but he's your child's father, it's his right just as it is yours to bring her around people in your life.

You can tell him how you feel, but he doesn't have to honor that at all. Your daughter will have to meet his gf at some point well before they are married.

Ya know, i'm kind of a hypocrite when it comes to this. My daughters father tries to control who is around my kid. He doesn't even want my mother near her....and we live with her! It's crazy BUT I sure as hell don't want my child around his shady friends or if he had a new girlfriend or even his mom! I do what is best for my child even if that means i'm being a hyprocite. haha

Just tell him how you feel but he might not listen. :/

If that is something you really want you can have it drawn up in court papers,but it will have to apply to you as well with new boyfriends.Or you could take the time to get to know the new girlfriend,you may end up liking her.

why don't you try meeting her and seeing if she is a good person?
just a suggestion, i totally understand why you would feel like that! i would too! but i guess i would be open minded about trying to meet her.

OP take it from someone who has been through it (ME),try meeting her first,there is no sense in hating someone you don't know.

yea you never know, she may end up being a good person, and if not! then take action to prevent her from seeing the child.

thanks, i might just do that...i mean i don't have a problem with meeting her or anything. I just don't think it is fair, for her having to worry about her child and mine at the same time. That is why i said what i did to him

i agree! i think maybe meeting with her might help ease your mind a bit   very mature decision!

I don't think so it's wrong, if he wants to be with her for good than yeah, why not... but if she is the girl who he is only be with for couple months and find somebody else no...

see that is the thing, they have not even been together for 5 days...and now he wants me to meet with the both of them next weekend...how am i suppose to do this when my feelings for him are still the same

Tell him no, I wouldn't wanted to my ex to bring every week other woman to my son or daughter. Did you try to talk to him about your relationship?
