Ugh there was a mom on here a long time ago who had excellent advice. I cannot remember her name.
Can you make a thread directeed toward "Gaga OG's" and ask if anyone can direct you to her profile.
Her family did an intensive therapy program at a hospital (maybe a jewish hospital?) that taught them how to treat it at home.

I would advise you NOT do steroid creams (including hydrocortisone) and cut ALL dairy as well.

Why not the creams?

The one my son was prescribed along with the dairy cutting has worked very well for him.

And i'd say Vinny's was worse than the pictures on this OP.

Because they can cause permanent damage to the skin pigmentation.
A lot of people use them with no problems but a lot of people do have problems.
I always advise people to try to find a safer solution!

That's who I was talking about. I'm almost positive that they went to St. Jude.

ETA: Okay I have no idea what that is all about. She must have made a different account after that one ^^...maybe ask Mara, if she can direct you to her account?
She found the solution and her old threads can REALLY help you. Her son's whole body looked like your LO.

EDITED Again!
I found her current account by searching "national jewish hospital" which is listed in her old profile.
Here she is: http://members.baby-gaga.com/member375317

My son had the same exact rash. It was indeed because of the formula. The doctors also gav us a prescription for cream. After I stopped breast feeding and put him on formula he started to break out. Oh my goodness, does he scratch at it? Maybe you could get an allergy test?

I'm having trouble telling whether you've ruled out the possibility of Lactose allergy? I use an amazing stuff called Lacteeze that removes the lactose from milk. I also take it after I eat dairy and it digests whatever the nasty stuff is that I can't digest myself. It's safe in pregnancy, and I'd assume would also be safe for infants (though worth asking more about first). While expensive, it's worth every cent

My son has eczema too and I use nothing in the bath as anything like that irritates his skin and a steroid cream from the doctor. I've tried several of them though to find the right one and then I just moisturize his skin 2-3 times a day.

But I have also tried everything else. Goats milk soap, cows milk soap, aveeno, paw paw, oil, vitamin e. We've spent over $300 on creams, it's all really just trial and error. Hope this helps.
