Griffyn UPDATE!!!

Hey everyone....Griffyn has been in a open crib since last night, no problems at all!! the only thing they he has to do now is eat out of the bottle every time` he is taking 2-3 bottlesby mouth now, and they are saying he should be home within a week if everything keeps going the same!!!!

Congrats! I love that name! If Ava had been a boy she would have been Griffin! Good luck with him mama!

awww yay i know how much ur lookin forward to that....my daughter was a 28weeker.....may i ask why he's in the hospital?

He was a 30 weeker......he just has to learn to suck, breathe and swallow all his bottles now, when they weighed him last nite he was 4.9......its amazing i cant belevie i have been in the nicu almost 5 weeks~where did the time go?? it all seems like a blur~ how long did ur baby girl have to stay in the nicu alysa?

Congrats! It is so wonderful to hear he is doing good and hopefully will be home with you soon.

i know and stuff that traumatizing kind of leaves u all messed up for a couple weeks.....she was in there for a month and three weeks.....when i looked back on it it went by quick but everyday that i had to leave her there was so hard and seemed like it would be forever till i got her home.....how much did he weigh at birth?

and ya they usually dont get the cordination to suck breath and swallow until about 32 weeks....with my daughter they had to put food thickener in her bottle cuz she was trying to eat to fast and couldnt breath

my little was a 33 weeker and i think it took a week for him to get to whole eating thing down.

He was 3lbs 10oz 16.5 inches long.........so not super super small or anything.......how big was ur baby girl?

she was 2pounds 9ounces........she was a little thing but ive seen smaller...like the ones under 2 pounds.....now when i see babies that are like 7 and 8 pounds i think they are sooo big...but really mine was just super small

Wow his eating is impressive. It took Paige a solid 3 weeks to learn how to suck-swallow-breathe.Get the car seat ready, he'll be home before you know it.
