C-section ?

Okay so my doctor told me i might have to have a c section because my placenta is low & shes gonna check me again at 30 weeks to see if its still low. I know doctors are different but my question is if i do happen to have to have one(which i hope i dont!)about when do they schedule those? like how long before your due date? 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks? Just curious.

Mine was 1 week before

I had an emergency section. I had partial placenta previa and mine moved.

thanks ladies i was just wonderin. i know it prob. just depends on the doctor but my moms friend is a nurse and she told me since my placenta was low they wouldnt wanna take a chance on me goin into labor and theyd prob do it maybe even 3 weeks before & id be on bed rest too...:/ i dont want them to take her toooo early ya know? its my first so idk whats like to to early and whats not i just know its better for them to be in there as long as they can & 3 weeks is like a big jump. just kinda scared me.

My doctor scheduled me for a c section on my due date. He does not believe in delivering early unless absolutely needed. I ended up going into labor like 3 weeks early.

yeah i dont like the whole early thing neither but basically they told me if i did it vaginally i would bleed to death! so idk i just wanna know when theyre gonna schedule it but i wont know til april 4th

your situations is different then many womens though also. I was to my due date because my son was breech. There was no huge reason to rush. C sections are not that bad. Now that you know ahead of time you will be able to plan. I found out 2 days before my c section. I had no clue what to expect. I would recommend talking to your dr about the process just so you are not shocked going in. Im a surgery virgin so for me it was terrifying not knowing anything.

yeah same here, never had any kind of surgery, thats why its scary & i dont want her to be taken before shes ready is my main thing lol. i know shell be okay its just the fact knowing like what if she wanted to wait another week i dont want her to be mad lol. but yeah i wish someone whos been in my exact situation would read this! i wanna know badly.

At 36 weeks it is ok to deliver. My son was born at 37 weeks and weighed 8lbs 7oz and was completely healthy. However, if you are uncomfortable talk to your dr. Maybe the can deliver around 37 or 38 weeks. I would just keep asking questions. I do not think your dr will take the baby to early.

I'm in the same boat   Low lying placenta at 28 weeks, re checking at 32 weeks. I'm petrified.
