Newborn Teething????

is it possible for my 2 week old to be teething? There's little sharp bits poking through his upper gum and he's been spitting up more then usual..crying all the time and constantly wanting a breast or pacifier in his mouth... He's BARELY sleeping (12-13 hours every 24 hours)and he'll start screaming in his sleep. i'm so lost!!

it is possible... in rare cases, some babies have teeth at birth...

They are called "Epstein's Pearls" and are fluid filled white-yellowish cysts on the gums. They should resolve themselves in a few weeks.

anythings possible some babies are born with teeth.

Maybe its what your eatting that is upsetting his tummy.

i was thinking that too.

My last baby is 7 months old but she was born with a tooth...They were thinking it was a Epstein's Pearls...But it turn out to be a tooth..Funny thing is thats the only tooth she has
