Irregular gestational sac

I just had my first appt and ultrasound. The doctor said that the sac has irregular shape. I looked online but only saw negative turnouts. Has anyone experienced this. We are so scared now.

How far along are you? And what shape was it, what did it look like?

Like a flower? Is it like a tear drop are the edges of the gestational sac not rounded or straight? Sorry I don't get what you mean by like a flower. 5 weeks is pretty early, maybe it will change at your next appointment. Also depending on the angle of the transducer the shape can look different.

ME ME ME!!!! Quit reading I was sooo freaked out and went to weeks later and it inflated to a regular sac!!! It may be just tooo early to be formed in the right shape. Try and relax everyone told me I would lose the baby bc of the shape and I'm now 21 weeks!

Its hrd to tell with pregnancy hd two deformed sacs as they called it one at 6weeks that ended just 2days later...the second we did not know anything was wrong until was 15weeks which ended an ultimatley had to have surgery because of the hymoraging which almost took away my ability to have babies but hve 6yr old an a 4mth old he s my little miracale honesty think that be able to have a normal pregnancy but did its all touch and go... Best of luck! and know it will work out just the way it should.

This!!!! I was the same way. when I was 6 weeks they told me the same thing and i was at a 98% of not carring the baby. well my LO is now 4 months old. Give it some time and wait till your next apt. Good luck
