I'm going to use them. Eco-friendly and all, why not. They're a tad pricier than regular diapers, but that's just the initial cost of the cotton diaper outers. The inserts are about the same as regular diapers.

I watched the video.

It looks like a hassle IMO. I home with Rocky all day by myself it just looks like it would take up alot of time.

what happens in public? You carry the stick with you?

and the even better part is, if you don't have a pot around you can throw them away and they biodegrate in 30 days or less

i'm waiting untill piper is a little bigger so we aren't buying starter kits every few weeks.

IF you can find then in your grocery store they are cheaper than online. they will not compete w/the store they sell to so, the price is a bit higher. a pack of 40 liners is about 12.00 in the store.

How much of a hassle can it be? It's basically like a maxipad inside underwear.

That's what I was thinking.
My mom found this link (a review from a mom using them) and thought I'd pass it on for those who want the savings AND the eco-friendly benefit:

5 star rating
Review of gDiapers
Great system, but use a cloth insert.
I LOVE gdiapers but not the flushable portion. I've been using a prefold in the center or sewing my own soaker pads for the insert and I love them. Flushable part, not so much, but a couple of gdiapers and a dozen or so cloth inserts and you're golden. It makes the whole endeavor more affordable too. WAY cheaper than disposables and at about 10 bucks a diaper cheaper than most cloth systems too.

My son is a handful.. His poos can be NASTY! lol

Idk it just seems harder to change him then spend more time taking it apart and flushing and washing everything.

I bought some last week, and have been practicing using them on my neighbor's kids. One is 4 months, the other is around 18 months. It's harder on the older kids, because they wiggle, but what I do, is change the entire diaper, set aside the old one, then put the kids in either their playpen, or in the crib, then go back, pull off the insert, flush it, then set the first cloth diaper aside for later use. You don't have to wash the diaper in between every use, but they do tell you not to use the same one for longer than a day, just because of sweat and stuff.

I'd say the only thing that I don't like about it, is that most disposable diapers have a wicking feature, as in it draws the moisture away from the top of the diaper. The GDiapers don't do that, because it's biodegradable, so sometimes when you pull off the insert, it leaks. We haven't had a problem with them leaking through the cloth diaper though. It's just the top that leaks, if you hold it vertically, or when you're removing it. It's convinced my neighbor to switch tothemthough. She wants to start throwing the inserts into her compost bin, then using it in her garden as fertilizer.
