I'm the same way.. I HAVE TO take a shower every morning and wash my hair... I hate when I feel like I can smell my "oily" hair....

Me too. And I can't wash it without conditioning it, or I feel like I forgot something. Plus, I have thick wiry hair, so if I don't condition it, it's almost impossible to brush by the time it's dry. And I can't stand brushing it while it's wet, or using a hair dryer - I have to towel it off and wait till it's almost completely dry.

I have what a lot of people think is a strange hobby/addiction, thanks to my boyfriend. I love to go arrowhead hunting.

I'm in the process of growing mine out. I cut it super-short a few weeks after I found out I was pregnant with Matthew, and donated it to Locks of Love. I donate 12 - 14 inches of hair every three years or so. Always anonymously - they run your picture in the paper and make a big deal out of it up here if you have it done at a salon, so I make my mom cut it at my house and mail it in without a return address.

Mine is super long like that but really fine so I only condition the bottom half of my hair.

I donated mine a few years back. It was a 14 inch braid   But I guess they dont make such a big deal of it around here, I didn't get no picture in the paper.   *stomps foot*

I live in a really small town, and there isn't a whole lot of news, lol. I just didn't want my picture in the paper for doing something like that. It's cool when it's little kids donating their hair, but it seemed a bit silly to have a grown 24 year old woman standing there with a cheesy grin holding up her hair, you know? My aunt Cheryl's been battling with lymphoma for the past five years, and my uncle Gene has been in remission from leukemia since I was six months old, so donating my hair and doing the Relay for Life every year (up until last year) are my small ways of supporting the cause. I'm growing my hair back out again, but I'm going to wait and see if Aunt Cheryl wants it the next time I cut it, before I donate it - she just found out the lymphoma came back, and it's in her eye this time, according to my dad.

Aw, man. I am really sorry to heat that! I hope all goes well for her. And how cool would that be to donate your hair to someone close to you! (even though you wish they didn't need it in the first place)

She used to brush my hair when I was little (around 4 years old or so) and talk about how she wished her hair was dark and thick like mine, instead of blonde and baby-fine. I remembered that last night and it made me cry a little and laugh a little.

She lives in Portland, OR, and Jeremy and I are talking about flying out there next spring. She's always wanted a tattoo, but she's a blood donor, and wouldn't get one because she wouldn't be able to donate blood for a year.Well, my boyfriend's and my tattoo artist is moving to Portland. I don't think they'll letmy auntdonate while she's doing cancer treatments, so I'm going to take her to get a tattoo, and get another one for me while I'm at it.
