re: ~Official December 2012 Due Date Thread~

Took Riley to urgent care today. He's been stuffed up and is now coughing and being pretty fussy at night. They put him on amoxicillan and said he should start sounding better within 48 hours. I hope so.

I also accidentally gave him a new nickname today. He was being all smiles so I started telling him he sure was smiley and then I threw in his name so he became...Smiley Riley. LOL Kinda corny but cute for a baby.  

Brayden turned 8 weeks Wednesday. He had his 2 month check up Friday. He is 10.12oz and 22.5 inches long. He was 6.11 at birth and 19 inches. He has had nothing but breast milk and is such a great baby! He is the perfect addition to our family. Connor my almost 3 year old loves him a d Bryden has gotten to where he loves to watch Connor play. Brayden is smiling so much, rolling side to side and loves to swat at his little tummy time mat. thanks.. im sad as my last days at home are coming to an end.. I go back to work full-time on March 18. I know life will get easier because being a SAHM is more difficult than any job i've ever had... I know alot of mommies have already gone back but I'm not ready... sucks being the primary breadwinner but I'm thankful for every day (good and bad) that i've been able to have at home.

We were going to have an in-home caregiver, but she called in sick today for the 2-3 hours i needed her to be able to do some part-time work. So i'm seriously rethinking that. I had to use alot of my vacation to be able to stay home these 12wks so i really dont want to have to take it for nanny issues. We like Primrose.. $285/wk.. ouch.. but it's right next to my work so i could go in anytime to nurse him or just hang out... we'll probably end up doing that, but he's jus soo little I can't imagine him there. good thing is the lady working is a mom to one of my ODS friends in 8th grade so at least she doesnt feel like a complete stranger..

LOL Haven't ever seen any drama in my group. The ladies there are great and very supportive.

He's a cutie. And so much hair. Mine just has a little peach fuzz other than in the back. I like to say he has a mullet.

Awww! I hope he's feeling better! Took Carter to the Dr yesterday for the same type thing but he has RSV =( poor baby needs breathing treatments every 4 hours.

Yea...we had to take him back on Monday. He has viral bronchitis. They gave him steroids to open the airway and told us to keep him on the antibiotic to prevent him from getting anything else even though it wouldn't help with what he has. If this doesn't work I'm betting they will give him stuff for breathing treatments. He is breathing much better now though.

Just found out my niece that's 6 weeks older than Riley has bronchitis too. Darn stuff gets around fast! She didn't get it from him though. She's an hour and a half away from us.

My 3 year old has had to do breathing treatments and he hated them at first. Now he's used to them and wants to do them when he coughs even though he doesn't always need to because he knows they make him feel better.
