This sounds just like me! I heard about laying down too and have done that the last couple of feeds which did help. I didn't know about the blocked ducts risk though.

I wasn't sure at first why she was taking so much air when she fed. She keeps making a clicks sound when she sucks which I thought was her not being latched on properly but when I researched it I realised from the pain I got with the letdown and from my boobs always leaking that it was my milk flow being too fast.

Am still having problems tonight, she's just thrown up loads when I've tried to get her wind up   hope it settles down soon.

I have stopped using cotton wool now and just left it today to see if its the fibres in the cotton wool that are making it so bad. It looks so sore that I think it's probably best I leave it for a couple of days. Hopefully it will clear up on its own.

Yeah, mine makes the clicking sound too! I didn't know that was why.

How old is she? Aria is 5 weeks tomorrow and it's just started getting better the past couple days.

She was three weeks on Tuesday. At first breastfeeding was going great, it was around two weeks when I started getting these problems. Hopefully I will be the same and it will get better! Did you find laying down whole feeding was the only thing that helped?

Hand expressing first too...Also when she first latched on and then pulled away and milk was spraying, I would just kind of catch it with a burp cloth and wait until it stopped and then re-latch her.

I'm feeling really bad when I read all the bf stuff. I am convinced my supply is low now.. I dont leak. Don't have many problems w flow and him choking. I remember when my others were bf and I had all those problems. I think my implants are causing supply issues. I went more than 4 hours without feeding him and pumped bc I had a meeting at kids school. . I only had 3oz total. . 2 in n left 1 in right. . I get that much usually right after he feeds or between feedings so in an hour. DS is 25 day so 3.5 weeks. As he gets older and eats more will I produce more milk? I remember w other kids. In would get 3_4 ounces per breast easily.

Just remember how much you pump isn't a sign of how much yor producing. A baby sucking stimulates more then any pump can.

Mallory slept 10pm-6am last night!!! I was sooooooo excited. I only got 5 hrs of sleep because, go figure, couldn't sleep! But whatever, I'll take it! She woke up so smiley, too.

As long as Mallory goes to bed before midnight I'm okay with that. BUT that's pushing it. I'd prefer her in bed at 10pm, no later.
I go back the 28th

I seriously think I'll have anxiety. She even gets to come WITH me because I work at a daycare but I literally just don't want anyone to watch her other than me

I'm not sure. I've had to supplement from the beginning. My supply has never gotten better. My pediatrician said a percentage of women's bodies will just never make a huge amount of milk. They won't be able to pump it either. Looks like I'm one of them   I've tried fenugreek. I eat & drink. I was able to pump an ounce in the beginning. I pump droplets now. I still breastfeed her with every single feeding & I know she is getting some milk from me but it's not enough to COMPLETELY feed off of me & only me.

That's awesome. Eventually will be happy if DS goes to bed at midnight or 1 and sleeps thru to 7 in the long run..but for now id settle for a 4hour stretch since we are only at 2_3 hours when its good.. sometimes an hour!! Or awake from 2_5am.. last night good tho

Aria has slept for 6-7 hours the past two nights! It's nice but at the same time I'm concerned for my milk supply and wondering if I should wake up to pump or something.

Ugh your post reminded me of how soon that is.... Sidney successfully went to bed and was asleep by 9 last night. About a week ago we started a bedtime routine which really seems to help. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to get up about 5:15 to get both girls up, dressed, and Sidney fed and out the door by 6:45....sooooo early!

Sidney's first sleep stretch is 5 hours and I did pump about an hour before she woke up but only because I was so uncomfortable. My supply was fine with DD #1 when she started sleeping longer.
