So true. I would give up anything for my kids. They are what makes life worth living. My husband and I agree that if we ever had to choose between each other or the kids that we would both choose the kids.

I just made sure that when I feed her at night we turn the lights off so she is aware it is night time. When I have to feed her in the middle of the night I do not turn on the lights, either. You change their diaper only if it's necessary. Otherwise, while feeding, you don't speak to them. Just feed/nurse/whatever you're doing, lay them back down, and leave. It's hard but when you talk to them they think it's time to be awake, same thing with the lights. Using music helps or a noise machine. Also stimulating them throughout the day by trying to keep them active on a play gym, bouncy seat, swing, etc. Do it for a few days & it should help or completely work. It worked for me!!

well he'll sleep from 2-8am (give or take) then for most of the day. his main awake time is between 7pm-2am. I just need to move his sleep back a few hours. He has slept well the past few nights from being swaddled and goes back to sleep after feeding, i only change him if he poops or shows discomfort. I just need to tryharder at keeping him awake during the afternoons!! lol

Yep lol because 2am-8am will still leave you EXHAUSTED when you go back to work

Mallory was going to bed at midnight but the past 2 nights it's been between 9-11 so that works with me! The LATEST I wanna be awake on a work night is midnight. lol

I'm with you! I will still wake to feed him but if he's just awake my husband will be staying up with him. If he just pushed back his long sleeps a bit it'd be like...11-6am and I'm cool with that lol

That's what we do as well. Very dim light for changing, nurse rock for less than 5 minutes and back to the pack and play! She sleeps from 10-8:30 right now but this week we will be working to move bedtime up to 8 as I go back to work on the 29th....

They will naturally flip their schedule around as they get older...I know it's tough right now but I wouldn't stress about it. They'll start to become more alert during the day, as there's just naturally more stimulation, and sleep at night when everybody else is. DS was backwards when he was born but he was sleeping through the night by 7 weeks. DD isn't quite there yet...luckily Daddy works from home and makes his own hours so he doesn't mind staying up late with her!

Side note, we had her one-month checkup yesterday and she's up to 11 lbs 3 oz! Pedi says she's top of the chart for length and weight.

Violet sleeps for 3 he stretches at night & then wakes up. Last night she was awake from 2-4 drove me nuts! Lol question for the nursing moms- Violet is spitting up, A LOT. Now she eats every two hours during the day &She usually eats for 10 & 10 on each side & still doesn't empty me. shes usually satisfied after the first 10 mins and I have to force her awake the next 10 on the other & then have to pump the remaining 3 oz. how long are your LOs eating for? & do yours spit up like this?

I would allow her to empty one side before switching to the other. She might be getting too much fore milk and not enough of the fatty hind milk. My son has one boob a session.

I tried doing that and got the same result, she would only eat for 10 mins. I'm conflicted- she's gaining like 8 oz a week so I know she's taking in plenty of milk.

My son just started spitting up alot this past week. We do one side for about 25 mins. I then do the other side next feeding. I'm wondering if it's reflux like my son had. I'm going to weigh him tomorrow but he has plenty of dirty diapers. I burp him and seems worse sometimes when I do. He also will use me as a pacy like now he has been on for 40 mins.
