We bought some binkies when I was pregnant. I forgot to bring them to the hosp with us. Neither of my boys were binky babies do I really didn't expect emmalynn to be one. She got the round soothie one at the hospital and loved it. I think they are so ugly lol. So when we got home I introduced her to the nuk ones we had bought and she gagged & kept spitting it out, but I could tell she wanted a binky so I went to the store and bought some soothies & she was in love. I'm not breastfeading but I think it's because it mimics her bottle nipple. So maybe try the soothies. I think the packaging states it helps with nipple confusion

That's interesting i hadn't thought about it that way. We tried the soothies lassies when we first brought her home and it went so so. Thanks for all of the feedback girls.

For my next question.......
Babies poop: yellow, sometimes green. Do you guys actually see the "seeds" as I'm afraid DD has green poop once in a while, don't usually ever see the seeds and it appears runny..... Is that bad. She seems to go so darn often I can't keep her dry so her poor bum is chapped.  

Oh one more question. In thinking about birthcontrol has anyone ever tried Mirena, Did you like it, hate it? I tried the mini pill last time and it mad me terribly hormonal (angry) so I had to get off of it and just use condoms which killed our sex life.....

I've read a few stories on here about women getting pregnant on Mirena, it falling out, or infections and whatnot...I wanted it before but now I'm a little scared.

I also don't want to use anything hormonal because I'm BFing and last time I had supply issues.

Dexter's turned green and not seedy (and very foul smelling) about a week and a half ago. Also had tinges of bloody mucus in a diaper or two. My brief research and talks with friends have me believing it's a dairy sensitivity. So I've stopped eating dairy and it seemed to help. Had a scoop of sour cream and buttery biscuits over the weekend and back to green it went for a while.

I had the paragard IUD and it was great for me. Hormone free! I won't be going on birth control since that is the one I would most likely get and we plan on more kids in the next 2 years or so. Condoms it is!

I know you want yellow. Green can mean to much foremilk. I was switching before he could get the hindmilk. Once I left him on longer it went to yellow. I see the seeds and runny is ok with breastfed.

I didn't have any problems with the mirena- had it for 4 months & took it out. Got pregnant like 8 months later first time trying

Interesting.... I am cutting out most dairy bit haven't cut it all. Maybe I should to see what happens. How long ago did you eliminate dairy? I read it can take 2-3 weeks to fully get out of my body and another 1-2 to get out of hers....

It was the 29th of Dec that I stopped and the 3rd/4th that I had the extra bit of dairy just to see if I could minimize my consumption instead of just eliminating. So it's only been a few days that I haven't had it so it could take some more time but its been getting out of my system pretty quickly I think.

How is everyone doing?

Uggg . Tired.. my DS is a light sleeper and everytime I sit him down after feeding him he wakes up about 10 minutes later. I barely have time to go to the bathroom or eat

Doing good here. Brayden loves to cluster feed at night. So I get about 3 hours. But it's paid off. He had his 2 week check up today. He grew an inch and gained 7oz in a week! He is such a good baby. I have lost 21 pounds. My husband goes back to work next week. I am scared. Lol.

That's good hes been off so long. My DH went back to work after 11 days over Christmas new years.

I feel bad now..I just caved and gave him the soothie paci.. I just feel like crap bc I never had to do that to make my other kids happy. I just fed him so I knw hes not hungry but I feel bad bc maybe he needs something that im not recognizing. I personally feel like its a cop out.. he spits it out and then starts cryinf again... idk. Maybe I just need to deal w it since alot of people use them..
